Henry
Casillas - Executive Director
Henry Casillas is a native of Ventura County. He was raised and
lives in the City of Oxnard. Henry is the son of Mexican immigrants
who worked as farm workers in the United States.
In 1990 and 1992, Henry obtained a Bachelors Degree in Political
Science and a Masters in Urban Planning from the University of California
at Los Angeles (UCLA). Henry also obtained his general contractors
license in March of 1995 and his real estate broker’s license
in February of 1998.
Henry worked five years for the City of Oxnard Housing Authority.
He worked as Sales Manager for the El Paseo housing project; a 190
unit affordable housing tract in the City of Oxnard. He incorporated
and is the Executive Director of the non-profit HOME Corporation
that provides first time homebuyer classes. HOME Corporation also
helps first time homebuyers apply and obtain federal and state finance
assistance and local grants.
Jose Espinoza
- Homeownership Counselor
Jose Espinoza is a Ventura County resident. Jose was the first
client that achieved homeownership through HOME Corporation services
over 11 years ago. As such, Jose brings an in-depth and personal
understanding of the home buying process. This insight provides
him with the necessary empathy to conduct both homeownership counseling
services and teach HOME Corporation homebuyer classes.
